I remember when I put photos of these two areas on and I got SO many responses from people who have relatives who are hoarders. Man, that made me feel better, knowing I wasn't alone. But, I also got a few "What a dump!" posts. And they were rude, but, right. Mom's yard is not so bad now, huu? It's a beautiful safe place for a little girl to play. I have to go fill up bird baths and transplant some flowers now. Have a good day, all of you.

Wow...your leaf look marvy on that pedestal!!
Great job on the leaf! I'm impressed. I might try that. I have no original ideas, but I like to copy things other people do.
One question on your garden. What do you use for a fertilizer? My dad used to use rabbit manure and grew giant vegetables. I don't have access to a rabbit, so I'm looking for a good alternative.
Pat youve done a fantastic (and back breaking) job with the massive clean up and reorganization. Truly looks lovely now, i know all too well the mountain of work that was involved. (poster who threw out food coloring from 77 in the hoarder post here).
And i adore that bird bath it turned out even better then i thought it would. I am so going to give it a try. Pedestal is perfect for it too.
You are so creative and I can not believe what you have done with that yard. It is amazing. truly amazing.
ohhh and BTW.. you have inspired me to plant and grow my own flowers. I have started a mini deck garden for my apartment. YAY... I'm very excited. It's not much. Just some daisy's, wildflowers, babysbreath.. etc.. I hope I can keep them alive. LOL
Thank you all. I'm going to get pics of the rest too. It all looks good now. I don't use any fertilizer. This is Iowa and the soil is rich enough. I do feed baby pines acid in fall, but, that's it.
Casey J..awww, I'd love to see your flowers. You used to love to help me garden when you were little. Remember, your job was to keep the goat out from under foot. LOL!
PS...that bird bath really was easy. You can do it.
Yes, you have done a beautiful job! I'm amazed at how quickly it has happened and how fast everything is growing. Nature is amazing.
wow I love how your leaf turned out! I'm inspired!
Thank you. I'm going to try some more free form stuff. And be more careful with the cement this time.
