Yay! I'm not pregnant!

CakeWrecks is still cracking me up. I swear to you, on everything that is unholy, I thought this wedding cake was made of used tampons. I figured the bride was ecstatic to NOT be having her family's traditional shotgun wedding.

They have some pretty awesome candy inspired cakes there this week. Lissa has a birthday this month, maybe I'll give one a try.

Thanks for the link to that site, some of those cakes are unbelievable! I have made my grandson's b-day cake the last two yrs., he'll be 3 this summer, maybe i'll get some ideas. I'm not nearly creative as those people, though!

I forgot to say that some of them are just plain awful, the site is very funny, too!

Sorry, but, I really thought it WAS tampons.

I don't get it.

If it's not tampons, what the hell is it? I looked thru their site, I'm a 'follower' now, but I couldn't find that one with an explanation. Am I missing something????

You should see the cake I made for Sam's 1st birthday. My first adventure into decorating land. Holy frosting batman. I hated that as a first timer I was learning as I went, so sections of the cake got progressively better. But hopefully I'm set for next year.

OMG...just found it..

Sharks. Geez. Is that really necessary? Isn't there another platform you could use to promote awareness for shark fin soup then at your wedding? Come on people.

I'd rather go back to thinking it's tampons.

I DID think it looked like a cute cake till I read your comment. Now I feel kinda sick.

Biz..hunny, at their site when this pic comes up click where it says "for a clsoe up & explanation click here"...then click. It is little dead sharks, bleeding in protest to shark fin soup usually being served at Chinese weddings. Hers' what they say...

"Made to be displayed as part of an awareness campaign depicting the cruelty of the brutal killings of sharks to make sharks fin soup usually served at Chinese weddings."

I still think it's depicting used tampons, used by a young teen that still can't quite get one in and she keeps trying so her waste basket fills up overflowing (so to speak) with many used up & wasted tampons. Thats what I think it looks like. The "I am NOT pregnant" wedding cake theme does fit here quite well. But dayum...dead sharks on a wedding cake? Who does that?? & WHY????
"Yea, I want a bajillion dead shark carcasses on my wedding cake and make it like they were brutally murdered!" yea, I would love to have been a fly on the wall at that bakery!
PS: Did anybody else see the snake head in the broccoli at TGIFridays? Yep! A severed snake head with it's spine still in tact, I need to Google it myself.

Anonymous, hunny, if you look at the comments you'll see I found it right after my original comment, and I came back to say so. But, gee, thanks SO much for your help tho!
