Me pulling radishes in my jammies this morning. And my Tomatoes are a good two foot tall, spreading rapidly with sturdy thumb sized stems. I notice the Brandywines are far superior as plants to the hybrid ones now. I guess they're just weaker when they're little and you have to protect them and harden them off slowly. The one that's doing the best though is a hybrid called Lemon Boy. It's huge..I think it's a determinate variety. I love it out there.

YEAH! I just got my one tomato plant in on Saturday. The rest is just herbs. Of course it was below freezing this morning, but everyone seems okay. I actually put in some lavender, I wish I'd put it in when I first moved here in '06, but oh well. Next spring, I'm out of here. I'll have a brand spankin new college degree and I'm headed down south.
Congrats on your degree! Hey, I think it's great you bought a mater plant. Every one will wish they had one when we're eating real tomatoes! I should get some Lavender too. I don't know if it grows well here, but, I should try it.
